If you're planning to have a garage sale, there are a number of City requirements you need to know about.
You must obtain a permit from the City. Permits are available at the City Clerk’s office at the Louis J.R. Goorey Worthington Municipal Building, 6550 N. High Street. Permits can also be downloaded here Garage Sale Permit Application (PDF).
The permit may be filed any time prior to the first day of the sale.
The fee is $5.
A total of three signs are allowed. One on your property and two may be placed off the sale property, as long as they are not in the public right-of-way and that permission is obtained from the property owner where the signs are placed.
All signs may be erected the night before the sale.
