Although founded more than two centuries ago, Worthington's elegantly restored shops and eateries in Downtown Worthington draw crowds with their small-town charm and unique offerings. Many restaurants offer outdoor seating for a fun, casual experience in historic Old Worthington.
The Shops at Worthington Place, located northwest of the intersection of East Wilson Bridge Road and High Street is undergoing a major renovation and is bringing renewed energy and shopping opportunities to the Worthington community and the vital Wilson Bridge Road corridor.
Old Worthington hosts many events for all ages and interests throughout the year. The Worthington Art Festival is ranked as one of the top 200 art festivals in the country. Market Day features arts and crafts, pancake breakfasts and lots of outdoor fun. During Worthington’s farmers markets, which are every Saturday morning in May through October, farmers bring their fresh produce, plants and crafts out to the sidewalk sale. Other events include the 4th of July Worthington Family Picnic, a tour of homes, antique shows, concerts on the Village Green and old-fashioned ice cream socials.
