Worthington Cares: Drug Safe Worthington Speakers Series

Monday, March 19, 2018

Todd Waites is a two time cancer survivor, arm amputee, and world traveled keyboard player. As a teen and a new arm amputee, he seemingly overnight had to learn how to deal with a cancer diagnosis, how to do things with just one arm (including re-learning how to play the keyboards), how to now be left handed, enduring chemotherapy, all while also dealing with the ridicule/bullying that came with being "different". He knows fully well the negative effects that making poor choices bring, but thankfully also knows the value of positive change, overcoming, and how reaching even crazy dreams can be accomplished. After touring the world as a keyboard player, Todd now shares his story to ensure that everyone knows they are built for greatness and that you can "Be a Rockstar...wherever you are".
