Vision Worthington Final Steps

Visioning logo

Vision Worthington is entering the final phase of the visioning process to craft a series of visioning statements and principles that capture the thoughts and feelings that the community has shared regarding the future of Worthington.  The committee has heard from thousands of city residents, students and members of the Worthington School District, local businesspersons, and community non-profit leaders who have all shared their thoughts and perspectives on what they value most about Worthington.

To make this effort successful, they need your help one more time!  There are two final opportunities to share your thoughts and ensure that your voice is heard:

Draft Vision Statements Mailer & Online Feedback

A draft of the vision statements is on its way in the mail to every Worthington household.  Please either complete the enclosed form with your reflections and mail it back in the postage-paid return envelope, or log on to VisionWorthington.org and share your thoughts online.

Please note: Since many Worthington residents may not have received the feedback forms for the draft vision statements in the mail until after the stated deadline, the response period has been extended. When it arrives in your mailbox, please go ahead and respond either using the enclosed pre-stamped envelope or reply online here. Please respond no later than October 9, 2020.

Charrette

The Visioning Committee is holding its final virtual planning session on October 1, 2020 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.  This event, called a charrette, is a collaborative planning process that harnesses the talents and energies of community stakeholders to create and support a vision or plan using consensus and a plan of action.  The charrette will serve as a platform to work out the final details of the vision statements and principles.  Follow this link to register today.

A final visioning report will be presented to Worthington City Council in November. It is intended to help guide what Worthington will look and feel like over the next 15 to 20 years and assist Council in policy and funding decisions.

Your active participation is needed in these final steps of the visioning process. Please also encourage your friends and neighbors to participate so our community can create a collective vision for Worthington.
