10:00 a.m.

Prelude
Chamber music gives way to patriotic songs as the town crier announces the Opening Ceremony.
10:30 a.m. Opening Ceremony
Kilbourne re-enactment, recognition of special guests, special remarks, proclamation, 21 gun salute, announcements and closing remarks.
11:10 a.m. The debut of the Official Bicentennial Theme Song, “The Bells of Worthington/On the Village Green.” Composed and performed by Eric Gnezda. Backup singing by the Bicentennial Chorus, community members and Worthington school children.    
Noon Come to the Play Party
Children from Colonial Hills E.S., under the direction of Gretchen Wessel, perform a folk musical play based on traditional music of Ohio’s once rural communities. The Worthington
Bicentennial presentation will be play’s debut, before traveling to elementary schools throughout the state.     
1:15 p.m. Muleskinner
The Muleskinner Band provides quality bluegrass, gospel, and traditional acoustic music with tight harmony, upbeat humor, excellent musicianship, and good pacing. A Muleskinner performance includes banjo, mandolin, stand-up or electric bass, and guitar.
2:30 p.m. Shape Note Singing
Early American three and four part a cappella folk music and the living tradition that treads an unbroken path prior to the Civil War. Presented as a tribute to our African-American forebearers.
3:15 p.m. Elixir
Elixir plays American music of the 1800's and original compositions. Elixir enjoys telling the stories behind their songs.
4:30 p.m. Footsteps of the Elders: Making Do
The premiere performance of a Depression-era, improvisational theater production by this renowned, all-woman, all-senior troupe. Their performance will include reminiscences of Worthington seniors, two of whom are members of the Griswold Players, and will
highlight the 1920s, 30s, and 40s.
5:30 p.m. New Remnants Dance Orchestra
The New Remnants Dance Orchestra has been on the scene since 1981 with the best in sophisticated, elegant and frankly, SWINGING music. Led by Worthington bandleader Matt Ellis.
6:30 p.m. Worthington Libraries
All of Worthington Reads the Same Book: Fahrenheit 451
7:00 p.m. Fahrenheit 451 Movie
A futuristic tale of a society where all printed material is banned. In this country of the future, officials believe that people who read and are able to think for themselves are a threat to the nation where individualism is strongly discouraged. Starring Julia Christie and Oskar Werner.
8:50 p.m. Closing
