5:00 – 6:30 – High School Bands & Musicians:

6:30 – Worthingway Middle School Band:
Accompanied by a color guard presentation of the American flag, the Worthingway Middle School Band will perform the National Anthem, in addition to other musical selections.

7:15 – Kilbourne Acafellas, Encore & Harmony:
This trio of musical groups is made up of students from Worthington Kilbourne High School. Acafellas is a group of all young men, Encore is a group of young women singers and Harmony is a combination of male and female voices. These groups all practice and organize their performances on their own time outside of school hours.

7:30- U.S. Army Jazz Ambassadors:
The Jazz Ambassadors, a component of the U.S. Army Field Band, is a select group of military musicians who use their talents to bring the Army to the American public. The musicians of the Jazz Ambassadors have earned widespread acclaim with their distinctive musical styling. They show remarkable versatility in their handling of tunes ranging from the swing sound of the 30’s to the popular songs of today’s youth. Audiences and critics alike have praised this organization as one of the finest performing groups in America. The Jazz Ambassadors presents the music of yesterday and today in a program that young and old alike will enjoy.

8:30 – The Bells of Worthington/On the Village Green with Eric Gnezda, accompanied by Arkadiy Gips, Worthington school children and community members:
The charm that is uniquely Worthington, both past and present, is brought to life through music with the Official Theme Song of the Worthington Bicentennial Celebration. The Worthington Bicentennial Steering Committee commissioned renowned singer/songwriter and Worthington native Eric Gnezda to compose and perform an original piece of music in celebration of Worthington’s 200th birthday in 2003. The musical work actually consists of two songs, an anthem called "The Bells of Worthington" and a ballad called "On the Village Green." The two will be performed on July 4th and 5th with the accompaniment of violinist Arkadiy Gips and Worthington area school children and adults. 9:00 – Voices of Charity

9:15 – Brass Band of Columbus:
The Brass Band of Columbus was formed in 1984 and exists as a self-supporting community band. The band's instrumentation is brass and percussion only, following the tradition of British brass bands. Membership of this 40-piece band includes thirty active or retired music educators and a wide range of other professions. During their July 4th performance celebrating Worthington’s Bicentennial and Independence Day, you can expect to here some of your favorite American music. Tentatively, the program includes songs such as John Phillip Sousa's Fairest of the Fair and El Capitan, Neil Diamond's America, The State Song - Beautiful Ohio, National Emblem March, God Bless America, Stars and Stripes and the 1812 Overture followed by a fireworks.
