StreetFest
Saturday, October 25, 2003
11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
The Founders Weekend StreetFest is a colorful look at Worthington, present and future. While Founders Day 2002 looked at Worthington's history, this year's festival focuses on children and the cultural composit of faces that will become Worthington's future.
The day includes arts making activities, where children can create costumes and masks then participate in the hourly street parades, Carnival style!
Kids can pick up their passports at the beginning of the day and collect stamps and memories of the event to take home with them. Kids can also enter the drawing to be one of the few to cut the Bicentennial Birthday Cake during the day's festivities.
Music from a variety of cultures will fill the street and high flipping acrobatics will wow the crowd in the middle of High Street. Worthington's finest downtown restaurants are also getting into the act by bringing their seating outside for your dining pleasure.
Worried about missing the OSU football game? You can catch all the action on the Superscreen at StreetFest. Bring your family and friends and wish Worthington a Happy 200th Birthday!
