    Pastor Bob Gustafson, P.E., Ph.D., will be the Keynote Speaker at the annual Mayor’s Interfaith Prayer Breakfast. The breakfast is open to the community. His address, “A Farm Boy’s Reflection About Prayer,” will describe his path from an Illinois farm boy, to engineer, to university faculty, and finally, to Pastor.

  3. Worthington Chapter DAR - Wreaths Across America

    Look for the Worthington DAR at this week's Farmers Market. Worthington Chapter DAR is partnering with Wreaths Across America to join in national wreath laying ceremonies to honor our fallen veterans at Flint Cemetery, Worthington, OH. Each wreath costs $15.00 and is placed by a individual that will say the veterans name out loud. Ceremonies happen at Arlington National Cemetery and at 1,200 other cemeteries across all 50 states on December 16, 2017 starting at 12:00 noon. We are seeking individual, group and corporate sponsorship. Donations will also be accepted. You may also volunteer to lay wreaths.     Operation Street Smart, presented by the Franklin County Sheriff's office. The goal of Street Smart is to provide current and up-to-date narcotics information on trends, terminology, paraphernalia, and physiological effects to those individuals who deal with today's youth on a daily basis.

  13. Drug Take-Back Day Drive-Thru

    The City of Worthington and Sharon Township Police are proud to partner with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio for Drug Take-Back Day. The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse and medications. Drive through Worthington's convenient drop off location on Saturday, October 28th between 10am-2pm. Only pills will be accepted. No syringes, liquids or creams. For your privacy, it is recommended that you place the pills in a zip-lock bag and dispose of the bottle at home. If you are unable to drop off your prescriptions during the drive through hours, a permanent prescription drop box is available 24/7 in the Police Department lobby.

  14. Monthly Yard Waste Drop Off

    Worthington residents may drop off yard waste the last Saturday of each month (March to October) between Noon and 3:00 p.m. There are no quantity, size, nor bundling restrictions. Please enter the gate at the north end of the Service Building. Residents must show proof of residency. This drop-off is for residential use ONLY. Residents hiring private contractors to perform work on large tree removals should contact the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) at 871-5100. Drop off is available at Kurtz Brothers at the corner of Westerville Rd. and Dempsey Rd. south of I-270 in Westerville.

    Trick-or-Treat night in the City of Worthington is scheduled for October 31st from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The City of Worthington schedules Beggars Night in Worthington on Halloween, October 31st each year, no matter what day Halloween falls on. If Halloween falls on Friday, Saturday or Sunday, some central Ohio communities including Columbus follow a different formula and trick-or-treat on the Thursday prior. If you live in the City of Columbus areas of the Worthington School District, follow the City in which you live.
