    Annual Events:
In a partnership with the City of Worthington and the Worthington Board of Education, the Worthington Arts Council is endeavoring to raise the funds necessary to bring an arts center to the Worthington community. The selected site is the original high school, known as the Packard Building, which is located at the corner of 161 and Evening Street, on the campus of Thomas Worthington. The Arts Center of Worthington will offer an array of classes in a multi-disciplinary learning environment along with galleries and a 220-seat theatre.

The Worthington Arts Council continues its efforts to enrich the lives of our young people with special programs like Camp Creativity, our multi-arts summer camp, and Children's Holiday Artshop, our holiday gift-making workshop. In addition to presenting fine performances and visual arts presentations throughout the city, the WAC supports the work of more than 15 area arts groups.

The Council's popular Recycled Art Sale, each April, helps patrons turn unwanted art work into cash in a unique consignment sale at the Worthington Mall.

    Worthington Community Theatre
Founded in 1970, the Worthington Community Theatre was formed by a group of Worthington families who felt it would be fun to have a community theatre in their community. At 33 years of age, WCT is one of the oldest community theatres in central Ohio. Our members come from all walks of life and now live all over central Ohio.

Though most of our members are simply everyday people who love being on stage or working behind the scenes, we are proud of the fact that several of our members have gone on to star on Broadway and in their own TV series in Hollywood.

Over the years our shows have consistently been recognized with honors by both the Ohio Community Theatre Association and the American Association of Community theatres. We are proud to be members of OCTA, AACT, the Worthington Arts Council, the Worthington Chamber of Commerce and have recently joined the Theatre Roundtable.
