Staff is working diligently to finalize the proposed FY 2009-2010 Recommended Budget, which will be distributed at the October 20^th Regular City Council meeting. The purpose of this Budget Workshop will be to accomplish the following:

 

·        Review a Revised 5-Year budget forecast. An updated version of this document will be distributed on Tuesday night at the meeting. 

·        Review the Proposed City Council Budget Adoption Schedule. The proposed schedule is attached.

 

As part of the 5-Year budget forecast, staff will overview budget assumptions, highlight any major changes in revenues and expenditures, and discuss proposed carryover and reserve policies. The intent of this Budget Workshop is to review the overall fiscal health of the City and discuss only major issues impacting the budget. Subsequent Budget Workshops will entail more detailed discussion on each Department/Division and Fund within the budget document.
