The Community Center is a 72,000 square foot facility that contains an aquatics area, fitness floor, running track, two gyms and two art rooms. Volunteer opportunities include Friday Family Nights and various special events. Volunteer hours are perfect for school groups and scout troops. Duties involve set up and tear down of activities, running carnival games, assisting with arts and crafts and interacting with all age groups.

Do you have a skill or program you would like to volunteer to offer at the Griswold Center? Many Griswold activities are volunteer led which makes it possible for the center to present its varied program schedule at little or no cost to members.

The Parks Department maintains 16 area parks including 13 playgrounds and over 220 acres of land. Volunteer opportunities are seasonal and include painting, landscaping, paver walk installation, invasive species removal, litter pick up and mulching. The Parks Department also works with Eagle Scouts, Boy and Girl Scout troops and businesses/corporations.
