A development plan has been approved for the lot that is currently undeveloped south of the CVS at 890 & 910 High St. The applicant is proposing two new buildings. The north building is proposed to be approximately 4,272 sq. ft. with a full first floor and a faux second story. Pet People, which recently announced plans to locate its headquarters in Worthington, is expected to have a pet supply retail location here. The 2-story south building is proposed to be approximately 12,804 sq. ft. with retail on the first floor and offices on the second.

Developers plan to demolish the existing small office building to the rear at 33 E. North Street that currently houses a medical facility. This portion of the site would be incorporated into the overall development and would provide additional parking and landscaping.  The proposed buildings are in the same location as a previously approved development that never occurred. 

The development plan was approved by the Municipal Planning Commission and at its October 27, 2016 meeting. City Council gave final approval at the November 7, 2106 meeting. Construction is expected to being in spring 2017 with completion in fall 2017.
