Worthington's health agency, Columbus Public Health, recommended the mask requirement be lifted based on Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidance that ranks Franklin County at a medium community level. Levels can be low, medium or high and are determined by looking at hospital beds being used, hospital admissions, and the total number of new COVID-19 cases in an area.
Guidance recommends masks should still be worn if you:
Are not vaccinated
Have an underlying condition or live with someone who does
Have a child too young to get the vaccine
Recently tested positive for COVID-19
Are in a healthcare facility of other business that requires them
