
In November 2022, City Council directed staff to undertake a corridor area plan focusing on the Northeast Gateway/Huntley Road/Proprietors Road Corridors. The corridor area plan will include recommendations related to detailed land use, zoning, fiscal and environmental sustainability, and other implementation elements to facilitate the planned future redevelopment of this area. The corridor plan will be a living document for day-to-day planning and budgetary guidance.
August 2023
The Steering Committee met on August 16, 2023 to discuss findings from the community meeting, stakeholder interviews, and economic development consultant, and discussed land use goals and ideas for the corridor.

A Steering Committee was formed made up of business owners in the corridor, City Board and Committee members, City Staff and the consultant team. An introductory meeting was held on June 14, 2023 to discuss the project. NBBJ began interviewing stakeholders and community partners.
April 2023
City Council approved a Resolution at their April 3, 2023 meeting to enter into an agreement with NBBJ for consulting services associated with the Northeast Area Plan.
