Grant Funding

The City of Worthington applied for and received grant funding through the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) in 2012 to construct Phase I of the trail from the Olentangy Parklands up to the intersection of Wilson Bridge and High Street. ODNR’s Recreation Trails Program is providing the City $150,000 towards the construction of the project.

The City held a variety of public meetings during the application process and received letters of support from a variety of residents, partners, and neighboring communities. The grant stipulates the project must be completed 18 months from grant award putting a deadline of June 30, 2014 for the construction of the project.
