Due to staffing issues, the Childcare room is currently closed. We will let you know once we are able to reopen.

Drop-in babysitting is available at the Worthington Community Center for use by patrons using the indoor facilities. The staff will provide a safe and fun environment while you enjoy the workout facility. To ensure this goal is achieved, we need your help and ask that you comply with the following rules:

 Current Hours and Ratios:

Community Center Childcare Room operating hours and maximum capacities are adjusted in response to COVID-19 precautions. Online registration is required for contact tracing and to manage capacity. Please note that families can drop off and pick up any time during the time frame, provided the kids do not exceed 2 hours maximum. *These hours and capacity numbers are dependent on staff availability and are subject to change. We have created new childcare guidelines, policies, and payment options.

 

Registration Time Slots:

Tuesday – Thursday:

9:00am - 11:00am (8 kids max)

11:00am - 1:00pm (8 kids max)

 

Saturday:

9:00am - 11:00am (8 kids max)

11:00am – 1:00pm (8 kids max)

 

Payment:

Each registered time slot is $6.00. At this time this is the only form of payment we will be taking for the Childcare Room. This will be evaluated as time goes on.

 

Sign Up Registration:

Families can now sign up online 24-hours a day, 7 days a week, starting on Thursday, June 3. Reservations must be made at least 1 day in advance.  To register online, search “Childcare Room” under Activities on the Online Registration website. Families can reserve their time slot beginning at 8:00 a.m. starting on Thursday June 3. Time slots will open up from June 8 through August 28. Most times coincide with the group fitness classes. If space is available, staff can register you on site or over the phone. If you have any trouble accessing your account, our staff is available by calling 614.436.2743, or by emailing us at wprd@worthington.org. Our team is ready to help walk you through the sign-up process should you need assistance. We recommend you log in to your account today and ensure that all family members are listed. If you need to cancel your reservation, please call the front desk at 614-436-2743. * These hours and capacity numbers are dependent on staff availability and are subject to change. 

 

Registration must be completed prior to your child’s first visit. New patrons are required to complete a Medical Form before dropping off your child. After completion of the forms, parents/guardians should visit the front desk to have their child’s photo taken & key tags issued, and purchase their preferred option, if needed.

 

Prior to reserving a spot online, you will need to create an account on our registration website.  Please note that if you have ever conducted business or had a transaction with the Worthington Parks and Recreation Department, then you already have an account and you can simply click on “forgot password” on the log in page. If you are brand new to our database, then you will need to click on “Create Account”.  

 

Residents of Worthington are required to provide two proofs of residency to be considered for resident status.  Documents accepted include: 

  • Valid Driver's License  
  • Check with Address  
  • Utility Bill  
  • Bank Statement  

Please send a scanned copy or a clear photograph of at least two of these eligible documents to wprd@worthington.org and you will be notified by email once your account has been created

  • 8:00am – 1:30pm Monday through Saturday 
  • 2:00pm – 7:30pm Monday through Thursday   

The Community Center's playroom is intended for children 1-9 years of age. Children must be able to walk independently without stumbling. The playroom is provided for parents and/or guardians who wish to utilize the facility while their children are supervised in a safe and fun environment.
