Beth Kowalczyk has served on Worthington City Council since January 2018. She has been a resident of Worthington since 2005. Ms. Kowalczyk is a licensed attorney, Chief Policy Officer for the Ohio Association of Area Agencies on Aging, and Chief Operating Officer of Direction Home LLC. She is a member of Women Lawyers of Franklin County and Ohio Women in Government. She serves on the Boards of the HealthPath Foundation of Ohio and the Ohio Coalition for Adult Protective Services.
Ms. Kowalczyk is active with many city and community organizations. She serves as a Trustee for the Flint and Walnut Grove Cemetery Board, is a board member for the City of Worthington Volunteer Firefighters Dependents Fund Board and for the Worthington International Friendship Association, and is the City Council liaison for the Board of Directors for the Worthington Partnership and the McConnell Arts Center. She is a member of the Age-Friendly Worthington Steering Committee and Chair of the Advocacy Committee for the Coalition of Age-Friendly Communities of Ohio. She is also active with Worthington Bridges, the Friends Foundation of Worthington Libraries, and the Worthington Women’s Club. Ms. Kowalczyk has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Kent State University (summa cum laude, University Honors) and a Juris Doctorate from New York University School of Law. She was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1993.
