David Robinson has served on Worthington City Council since January 2018 and currently serves as City Council President. He lives in Worthington with his wife, Lorraine, and their three children who attend Otterbein University, Kilbourne Middle School, and Colonial Hills Elementary. David is President and co-owner of Marcy Adhesives, Inc., a local, family-owned manufacturing company that invents, produces, and supplies Ohio-made products to the global glass and automotive industries. David earned a B.S.B.A. (cum laude, Honors Accounting) from The Ohio State University, a Master's Degree in Theology from the Chicago Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. in Theology and Psychology from Emory University. He is the author of “Conscience and Jung’s Moral Vision,” published in 2005 by Paulist Press. David’s public service includes leading the Keep Worthington Beautiful (Issue 38) campaign (2015), pro bono presentations on energy/innovation/climate for The Climate Reality Project (2007-8), and a solo cross-country bicycle fundraising and public awareness campaign (The Ride for Reason) benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association (1988). David's service on City Council reflects a commitment to 1) advancing resident-centered policies as the basis of good government, 2) supporting responsible development that enhances our unique historic character, 3) promoting environmentally sustainable practices for both residents and city operations, 4) facilitating business development that anticipates innovations and emerging industries, and 5) developing policies and practices that support the health and safety of all residents.
