The Ceremony is organized by Leasure-Blackston American Legion Post 239 and will feature speakers, music and remembrances to commemorate and honor those lost in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. 

Flag Planting

For the past several years, volunteers have placed 2,977 small American Flags on the Village Green, as a reminder to never forget the lives lost on September 11, 2001, recognize first responders, and raise awareness of the annual September 11th ceremony on the Village Green. 

Thanks to all the volunteers from Worthington Divisions of Police and Fire & EMS, Worthington Parks and Recreation, City Staff, City Council Members, American Legion Leasure-Blackston Post 239, Thomas Worthington High School Track Team, and community volunteers of all ages.
