The City of Worthington is seeking applications from individuals interested in serving a three-year term on the Worthington Community Relations Commission. The vacancy is to fill an unexpired term through May 31, 2023. The Commission meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. The meetings are currently taking place virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Community Relations Commission (CRC) is composed of nine voting members, at least seven of which shall be residents of the City of Worthington. Members serve without compensation.
The CRC promotes mutual understanding and cooperation among all members of the Worthington community and advises City Council on issues related to promoting good will and positive relationships among the citizens of Worthington. The CRC annually sponsors the Martin Luther King Community Celebration, the Neighborhood Grant program, the Good Neighbor Award and other programs of community interest.
