The fifth annual Friends Foundation of Worthington Libraries fundraiser will feature great craft beer samples, tasty food from area eateries, silent auction packages, a fun beer trivia contest and more! Purchase your tickets early-- last year's event nearly sold out!
The Worthington Farmers Market was established in 1987 and is one of the largest and most respected markets in Ohio. The Market is held indoors at The Shops at Worthington Place during the months of November through April. During the summer months, the Market takes place outdoors in downtown Worthington.
Drop off unwanted computers, printers, cables, cameras and more! Items will be collected by Rentek and either used for job force development training for individuals with differing abilities and barriers to employment, or refurbished and donated to local after-school programs.
The Worthington City Council meets the first three Mondays of every month, with the exception of the Council recess in August. Follow the information link to download Council agendas, meeting materials and minutes.

Drug Safe Worthington, in partnership with Worthington Schools, will be offering a 5 month speaker series. The topics for the series will be centered on mental health, substance abuse, addiction, as well as the latest trends involving the
schools and our community.
On the evening of the event a light dinner will be provided by the local faith based community. In addition, free child care for youth ages 5-14 will be available in the gymnasium for each event.
Increase your confidence speaking English! Work with library staff to improve your understanding of spoken American English. Every week we discuss a different topic and share common experiences. We also practice pronunciation and listening skills. Join the group at any time for friendly, informal conversation.

Don’t throw your election yard signs away when they can be recycled. The Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO) is hosting a free Election Yard Sign Recycling event on Saturday, November 9, from 8am to 11am to help residents and political campaigns keep signs from entering the landfill and from littering roadways.
Worthington DAR will be at the Worthington Farmers Market on 11/9/19 at the Community Table to pre-sell wreaths for National Wreaths Across America Day (WAA), scheduled for December 14, 2019. WAA is held annually in cemeteries across the nation to place a wreath on the graves of veterans to honor their service. Our goal is to lay wreaths at Flint Rd, St Johns Episcopal Church and a section of Walnut Grove Cemeteries. Help us make this day special by purchasing a wreath or making a donation to this worthy cause. Individuals, groups, organizations and corporate sponsorships are welcomed. Worthington DAR is hosting a Flapjack Fundraiser to benefit our Wreaths Across America Program where we lays wreaths on the graves of veterans at three Worthington cemeteries on 12/14/19. The Flapjack Fundraiser will be held at the Applebee’s Grill and Bar Restaurant on Polaris Parkway. Each $8 ticket provides unlimited flapjacks, butter, syrup, 2 strips of bacon and unlimited beverages. Email WorthingtonDAR@gmail.com to purchase advance tickets. Some tickets will be available at the event. Please come out and support this worthy cause!
City offices will be closed for the Veterans Day holiday. There is no change in trash collection this week. Trash, recycling and yard waste will be picked up as normal on Friday.
The Community Visioning Committee is tasked with steering the citizen-led visioning process, engaging and listening to community members, and developing a well-grounded articulation of the community’s aspirations for the future of Worthington. The Visioning Committee is expected to meet the second Tuesday and fourth Monday of every month, as needed. Project materials will be posted online when they are available.

City offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. Trash collection will shift from Friday to Saturday.
Santa will once again be stopping in Worthington to pick up his mail. The mailbox will be located at the North entrance of the Griswold Center, 777 High Street. Be sure to print your return address so Santa can write back to you! It’s free!
